7 of the best time saving Apps for students

These days there seems to be an App that supports most things people are trying to do including those who are studying.  Due to the increase in busyness that we all seem to be facing saving time is usually high on most people’s agendas.  Well here are 7 of the best time saving Apps for students that might assist to gain some time back for yourself.  All have basic packages which are free and available on multiple platforms including Android and IOS.

Evernote

This is one of my personal favourites and one that I use regularly to capture all sorts of personal and business information into one place.  It allows you to gather everything you can think of likeevernote notes from a meeting, class notes, lists, travel details, articles, links, photos, business cards, recipes, draft pieces of writing, thoughts, ideas and the list goes on ….  One of its best features is the ability to search so you can easily find any information you have recorded.  Another feature of Evernote is that is that it syncs instantly to all of my devices so it doesn’t matter what I am using at a point in time I can see all my information in the App.

Focus Booster

fbThis is a great App for everyone but is really useful for students.  It is marketed as the ‘digital Pomodoro timer’ and allows students to break up their time into manageable chunks.  Focus Booster is a timer that can split up your revision sessions with a number of little breaks in order to keep you as productive as possible.  You can also track how much time you spend studying on a certain topic.

Any.doanydo

This App allows you to organize your day by allowing you to create reminders, to-do lists, notes and events and store them on the clean and easy-to-use Any.do interface.  Although similar to other time management tools on the market, the app works across platforms, making it easy to switch from your phone to your laptop without missing anything on your schedule.

MyHomework

my homeworkA digital student planner that helps students stay organised and keep track of classes, homework, tests and projects so you get them in on time and never forget to hand something in. The clean interface and design make this App great for University or secondary school students.

This is a great time or task manager App that is simple, attractive and easy to use.  It allows you to get things done by setting up a list of tasks and adding the length of time for each of them.  You then use the timer and it will tell you when to move on to the next task.

A cross platform planner for students, teachers and lecturers designed to make your study life easier to manager.  This App allows you to store your classes, homework and exams in the cloud making it available on any device you use where ever you are!

Quip

Quip is a mobile productivity tool that enables you to collaborate on any device. It is great for teamwork and works well for group work that students undertake.  It improves efficiency by quipallowing team members to edit the same version of the document or spreadsheet at any time.  Quip combines chat, documents, spreadsheets, checklists, and more in a simple and elegant interface that makes collaboration easy.
